I started with a dream and a prayer. After working at a children's consignment shop in Ludington, I saw the need for a women's store. I searched for an empty store front and saw the one on South James street as the perfect place to start. I had shopped thrift and consignment while my kids were growing up, since who wants to spend a lot of money on clothes for a growing child when they out-grow it in 3 months? I loved the feel of expensive cotton and cashmere, and so I could pick out the good stuff just by the feel. My kids were always dressed well, and I felt good about being able to provide for them while still staying on budget.
